Cassia writes to us...

"I think I found a softness, which for me is an interesting place. I can be quite gregarious. I'm sad, but something beneficial comes from that grief. I have a belief about the war(s) in the middle east. Don't you think it's interesting that this holy land has been in turmoil for eons? What about the galactic influence? Sounds like a power struggle to me (from beyond) I think if we continue to hold that hate pattern, it feeds this war on another level. When peace comes something else is stirred up. I cannot understand how people can live together when they do not acknowledge the other's right to exist. We have whole cultures debating that issue- on their right to exist. We roar loudly when we believe the illusion that we have to fight to be here. I speak from personal experience."

This week is 4-11. If we had a big emergency on 9-11, I propose that we get a whole lot of information on 4-11. - e

"Rebuild Jerusalem, the holy city, speedily in our days. Lead us there, and gladden us with its rebuilding; may we eat of its fruit and enjoy its blessings; and we will bless You for this in holiness and purity." -- Sader (Passover) prayer

MAILBAG PART TWO

E -- there was a very interesting article in the National Geographic recently about Abraham being the father of three religions: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. All three claim him as their patriarch. According to the Bible and many "scientific" studies, all three nations are related (the DNA of Israelis and Palestinians matches very closely). There is much controversy about whether Abraham is a real person or not but that doesn't seem to matter to the Biblical scholars. Both Islam and Judaism (hence Christianity) believe him to be real and to be the patriarch. Now, Jews come from the line of Sarah, Abraham's long-lived wife. Muslims come from Hagar, the Eygptian slave Sarah encouraged Abraham to take as a mistress so that Abraham could have children. Once Hagar birthed Ishmael, Sarah found out she was pregnant with Jacob. Off went Hagar and Ishmael into the desert. Mohammed is a direct line from Hagar, born approximately 200 years later. So, I don't see how any Jew could claim that he has been in that particular part of the world 3300 years longer than any Muslim. I suspect everything else in the document because of this historical tall tale. Also, it is far too convenient to say "we were here first" and ignore everything else that goes on because of that stance. With affection. JET

Sign dates below are approximate. They now overlap by one day. The date and time of the Sun's ingress to the new sign changes a little each year, so please check with an astrologer if you want the exact position of your Sun, and while you're at it, your rising sign -- this horoscope is written for both your Sun and rising signs. If you find that some other sign's interpretations work for you, then go for it.

Aries (March 20-April 21)
Irritation is the muse of pearls and revolution. I've little doubt that the edge of discomfort you feel is just calling your attention to the gentler state of freedom and appreciation available to you now. That edginess is telling you something, to continue to make adjustments. The actual verb is "alignment." Keep making very small adjustments in your position until you feel like you are in the right place, remembering the feeling of mild irritation in your body even as your attention shifts distinctly to your mind.

Taurus (April 21-May 20)
There is news coming from an unexpected source, though you may decide you either knew or should have known it all along. You have a chance to change your opinion about an issue that's gotten you rather steamed up lately, and it will probably help that your usual tendency to struggle with decisions can become a thing of the past. Pay attention and you'll get an important piece off information about a way around an obstacle that will seem to arise, but which is no more an obstacle than half a wall.

Gemini (May 20-June 21)
You need to keep your head cool and remember who's boss. Upcoming transits will urge you to slow down and speed up at the same time, which can be frustrating, but there is a way you can do both. Think faster and act more slowly and with greater determination. There is something else about how the energy aligns to give you greater opportunities to both tell the truth and deceive certain individuals. They may deserve less than verifiable reality, though pausing to make a choice before you act one way or the other would be a good idea.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You could not want a better time to make a career move, but this one is more apt to feel like a sailboat ride than a commuter train. If you are lamenting having delayed on certain key points of your plan, anything you initiate now still carries the energy of the beginning rooted in this moment. Any concrete action will help remind you that this was your chosen moment to aspire to a level of happiness you deserve not because you have struggled so hard, but rather because your efforts have been sincere.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22)
Imagine that your life has been lived in an indoor space for a long time, like a house, or a workshop. It is a pleasant enough space, and you have been productive, particularly in your inner world, a quality of experience which is not, by the way, always available. But now imagine that a window has opened and bright early-afternoon sun is pouring in, and there is a soft breeze. Suddenly you remember that it is Spring, and the springtime of your life. Remember.

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22)
You can now collect a debt you are owed, whether monetary or emotional. But you can decide, first, whether you really want to do so. You may also take the route of letting the situation go, and testing the influence of releasing as a source of receiving. In this movement, there is an opening created in the world when we let go of something or someone, and you may be pleased at what you have made room for in your life when you do this.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23)
The ball is in your court, so to say. The determination, focus or fighting spirit to act are yours. Given the chance to act, most people defer to being acted upon, a strategy which (though often ill-advised) would at this point in your history also work quite well, if you can stay perfectly motionless for long enough to invite the kiss of the fates -- and muster the faith to trust it.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You have come through another one of those relationship tests which you are mature enough to know, on some level, is the reflection of something inside of you. It's worth looking at. But it's also worth knowing when to draw the line with that philosophy. The world may be about projection, but that does not free other people from taking responsibility for their own choices, actions and inner nature. Going beyond metaphysics, there are just those moments when it's time to drive a hard bargain.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)
We all know that you and your Sagittarius rising and moon cousins have been taking life entirely too seriously. Not just recently, but for a really long time. Is this oversimplifying things? It may be, but you've been making them a bit too complex by your insistence that there is one true way for you to be. You now get not just a reprieve, but also a doorway through yourself to something, somewhere or someone else -- maybe all three. In making this threshold real, your best plan of action would include creating and receiving, in about equal parts.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
By now, you have probably grown accustomed to the kinds of compelled changes that seem to plunge through your life every six months or so. It's fair to say that the energetic pressure to move beyond your current frame of mind is building, and will continue to build until June, by which time you will have certainly made some important decisions about how to conduct your life. The important thing is to keep remembering to wake up when you lapse into unconsciousness. Let this message roll around your subconscious for a while. These months will not just be easier if you stay fully awake, they can be brilliant.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
You may choose to be provoked by the woman with a plan, or you can take a careful look at her strategy. She may be the long-forgotten ally you have needed to accomplish certain goals for which your somewhat erratic nature is excellent at contriving, but less successful at carrying through to fruition. You don't need to be under anyone's thumb, but that's different than really considering carefully what ideas a partner is offering, no matter how out-there, or boring and practical, they may seem.

Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
All wealth comes from the Earth. No matter where you are seeking your riches, please try to remember that. If you do some kind of work where this metaphor doesn't quite seem to hold up, you can still work with it. The astrological Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) for example, all deal with structure. They represent the more tangible parts of the psyche and its plans, including the rules and laws that govern life, work and the keeping of possessions. Think in tangible terms. Think about food. Consider whether gold is valuable to you, and why.
