March Monthly Horoscope

Greatest after Manwë, and his oldest ally, is Ulmo, the Lord of Waters [left]. He dwells alone in the deeps of the Sea, which is beautiful to him. But his power also extends throught all the rivers and streams of Arda, and news often reaches him this way, before the rest of the Valar. He has never forsaken the peoples of Middle-Earth, even when the anger of the Valar has been directed at them, and his protecting influence spreads over all the good people who dwell in Arda.

No more time to tell how
This is the season of what
Now is the time of returning
With thought jewels polished and gleaming

Now is the time past believing
The child has relinquished the reign
Now is the test of the boomerang
Tossed in the night of redeeming

Eight sided whispering hallelujah hatrack
Seven faced marble eye transitory dream doll
six proud walkers on jinglebell rainbow
Five men writing in fingers of gold
Four men tracking down the great white sperm whale
Three girls wait in a foreign dominion
Ride in the whale belly
Fade away in moonlight
Sink beneath the waters
to the coral sand below
Now is the time of returning

God's Table Dream

I am in my community and I walk up to a church. The minister is there, outside; it is Sunday and he's wearing his clerical garb. It's gray and looks modern. He's young, younger than me, and I think his name is James Taylor. I wave to him and walk in. I notice that the carpeting in the church lobby is on the same level as the outside floor. Somehow I am expecting a step up, but it's on the same level, and for some reason, it's easy to walk across, easy to enter the space. There is a beautiful sculpture in the lobby -- out of place for being real art in a church, with no particular religious message, just there for its beauty. I walk around the building. It's a busy place. I am not feeling particularly Christian these days, but I recognize the sense of community. I think, "Wow, if you want a successful business, just start a Christian church!" I continue to wander. There is a classroom, with lots of people and no teacher. This gets my attention. I get the idea to talk to the minister and see if he'll let me teach theology. That would be fun. There is some kind of bathroom/utility room with a water fountain and lots happening; I walk through this room. A woman who is either washing or drinking notices me and gives me an inviting look. I acknowledge her and keep walking. I am in a corridor now, which is set up for the Sunday service, but it's also a banquet. There are hundreds of chairs set up along two tables lining the corridor, and a stage, where two people are setting up equipment. I walk down the corridor, which is like a long, narrow banquet hall. The food is less interesting the further I go; they are eating iceberg lettuce at the far end, but the people are all welcoming. I still feel alienated. No one is specifically inviting me. Then I recognize that no one will make me sit at God's table, or even directly invite me; I recognize that I have to decide to do it myself. I remember thinking this several times, conscious that this is the lesson of the dream: that I have to decide whether I want to sit at God's table. I walk back to the close end, near the stage. Someone is tuning a bass guitar. There is an Asian woman on the stage. She is beautiful and I can see through her shirt that her nipples are erect. She has some nice nipples. The guy tuning the bass is pulling long, vibrating notes out of it, holding it out from his body. I suddenly notice a table where I want to sit -- the front table, closest to the stage -- but no chairs are available; I walk across and ask if I can take an unused chair from another table, they say yes, so I carry it over and am about to sit down when I wake up. I know I dreamed something, though I draw a blank on what it was, then it all comes back to me at once.

Astrology Readings on CD by Eric Francis

Sign dates below are approximate. They now overlap by one day. The date and time of the Sun's ingress to the new sign changes a little each year, so please check with an astrologer if you want the exact position of your Sun, and while you're at it, your rising sign -- this horoscope is written for both your Sun and rising signs. If you find that some other sign's interpretations work for you, then go for it.

Bring Back Fawn Hall!

and... 'The Sequel'

Aries (March 20-April 21)
Something you know to be true violates the prevailing misconceptions of the world. I mean, okay, this isn't exactly the first time this has happened, but in that cosmic recycling bin known as astrology, the issue is showing up in a glaring way. The current twist is that you may be inclined to accept what the asses known as the masses think is true. There seems to be some shred of truth to it that makes you doubt your currently potent convictions. If you want access to your own deepest values, look past that shred of seeming truth, and you'll see through it.

Taurus (April 21-May 20)
With Mars crossing your sign for the next few weeks, you're blessed with energy, initiative and sense of adventure, unless, of course, you find yourself getting caught up in abstract questions about "the right thing to do," or thinking that the world must come to you. Life is not paint-by-numbers, and the attempt to turn any possibility into a tangible reality requires the risk of lost effort and the potential for disappointment and failure. If you stay focused on action and not just on ideas, your ideas will follow you to the next level, where they will make a lot more sense.

Gemini (May 20-June 21)
You seem to be trapped in a familiar pattern of being smitten with an idea that will advance your cause or improve your life, which is then met by the sudden onset of hesitation, followed by the fear that you'll fly too high and melt your wings. The easiest way to get out of this mythological Bermuda Triangle is to remember three things: one, you are not your mother, two, you are not your father, and three, your wings are not made of wax. You can fly pretty high and the Sun won't melt you. But please, don't be afraid to exert a bit more effort into one particular new goal. Right now, anyway, effort is good for you.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The only thing that can limit you, starting right now, is your vision of yourself, your current concept of who you are. This does not need to be a problem, because you have a lot of free space to imagine much grander possibilities, at the same time you possess a full tank of just the creative fuel you need to make them real. It may be difficult, today, to see what potential is right at hand, though in retrospect it will be very, very obvious. Please don't wait that long. And I assure you: the one thing you fear the most cannot hurt you.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22)
To make the changes you want, you may have the idea that you need to sacrifice something or someone. But that would appear to be a simplistic look at the situation. An exchange is required, but it's not a trade-off, and you don't have to lose in the deal. While I don't suggest you become pushy, desire is called for, and though on this particular day you may not know exactly what you want, you can work with desire in a general way, by allowing yourself to be a bit more daring about your cravings and longings. Make a little heat and the world will start to warm up.

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22)
A certain relationship situation should now be sufficiently clear that you give up on being such a trooper. The fact that communication may suddenly open up does not need to be a sign of hope in a hopeless situation. Rather, take it as a sign that there are certain people in the world who really can relate to you on your level, in your particular way, and that at least on this one issue you don't have to compromise. For the time being, or maybe for the foreseeable future, let the world, and the people in it, prove themselves to you.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23)
The recent turn of events in a love situation should be giving you the information you need to assemble a number of seemingly unrelated issues into one picture that makes a lot more sense. This story has had many turns over the past year, though my sense is that this recent development and the insights that follow ought to be helping you clear up certain doubts that have prevented you from taking real steps into the future. No doubt this is good news -- just claim your wisdom as your own, and as they say in baseball, take your base.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You may find the actions of a close partner or associate to be emotionally confusing or threatening to your security. But why do you think this happens when you start to get what you want, in terms of having your intensity matched by another person? And if you're being met in what feel like negative ways -- for example, by strife instead of by love -- do you see any choices you can make to help you move you beyond this condition? Remember, life is made of energy. Energy changes forms, and these changes are usually the result of awareness.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)
The Sagittarian notion of a "security base" would make most people rather queasy. You are used to floating on possibilities and counting on odd circumstances to assure your safe passage in the world. You are used to flying on faith that knows nothing of religion or even of conventional concepts of God. But look, now, to something tangible to be giving you a lift, or a rock to stand on. It is likely to be a specific idea, a tangible message, or something career-related developing in your home. Remember, this is happening the physical world, so responding by telepathy doesn't count.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
You need to take the long-term view of your situation, because your collection of short-term scenarios is not quite getting you to where you want to be. Negotiating your destiny is never easy. For Capricorns, it can seem to be an endless process, with the corresponding temptation to rely on quick fixes, which can be destructive to yourself and to others. You probably feel that you are facing major changes this Spring, which will require logistical support, support for your inner healing process, and simple companionship. You do need these things, and are capable of applying your industrious mind to the task of creating them.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
Sometimes getting pissed off, horny or greedy is truly spiritual. It is spiritual because, no matter what the holy men, the holy books or the holy rollers tell us, we are humans having a human experience. This entails the experience of emotion, of inner heat, of desire, and of pain that reaches the feelings and the body. You may, at the moment be angry about being angry about something that turns out to not to be based in truth, but that is all the more reason to acknowledge your feelings. Denial is curiously human, but indulging it does not help us become more so.

Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
Mercury's arrival in your sign suggests that, even if you feel you fall short of some particular grade, or lack a talent or level of achievement, your sincere attempts will be rewarded with both a sense of personal development and actual success. Mercury in Pisces does take work, it takes consciously working for awareness, and it requires the ability to decide whether you're thinking clearly. Other factors, however, suggest strongly that you are, and that your current sense of a new beginning is well worth continued investment.
